AIM Consulting Associates is a management consulting firm known for its customized approaches to solving today’s business challenges. We provide customized business consulting and training services and associated products to help clients optimize their strengths, enhance performance, discover new opportunities, and maximize customer value. Our services can be classified in the following areas: Organizational Development, Leadership, Strategy, Negotiation and Conflict Management, and Training.

Specific services include business planning, performance management, executive team development, teambuilding and leadership workshops, organizational assessment, structural redesign, continuous process improvement, negotiation and mediation, labor management relations, climate assessments, and the like. AIM Consulting associates are also sought after as presenters at public seminars and business schools on the topics of contemporary business concepts and application, labor relations, leadership training, management strategies, and human resources planning.

Robert R. Albright, Ph.D.

Bob Albright is a founding partner with AIM Consulting Associates. His areas of expertise include Strategic Business Planning, Leadership Development, Teambuilding and Conflict Resolution. Bob received his Ph.D. in Human Resource Management and Labor Relations from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Business in 1994. Before entering the consulting field, Bob, a 1981 graduate of the U. S. Coast Guard Academy, served as the skipper of a Coast Guard patrol boat engaged in narcotics interdiction in south Florida. Bob has published in a wide array of scholarly journals on such topics as conflict resolution, strategic labor relations, and organizational change and received Fellowships from the American Council of Education and Yale University. His recent book, “The Complete Guide to Conflict Resolution in the Workplace” has been published by the American Management Association Press (AMACOM). Current consulting clients include Pfizer, Swarovski, Gateway Healthcare, and People’s Bank. An avid boater, skier, and racquetball player, Bob, his wife Nancy, and three daughters live in East Lyme, Connecticut.


Frank Irr

Frank Irr is a leading consultant in Organizational Development, Strategic Planning, and Leadership Development. He specializes in areas such as business change management, project team effectiveness, process management, performance improvement, as well as enterprise information technology implementations. He has a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Systems Management and has experience as a computer systems and communication networks developer. Frank held senior and executive leadership positions and ran an internal training and consulting organization for government, non-profit, and private sector organizations during his 20-year Coast Guard career. He was Director of the Coast Guard’s Leadership Development Center when he retired from the service in 2001. He has been consulting in the private sector for 10 years and his current consulting clients include Pfizer, Jeweler’s Mutual Insurance, and the Department of Homeland Security. Frank lives in Norwich, CT with his wife, Kathy.


Marick F. Masters, Ph.D

Marick F. Masters is a senior partner with AIM Consulting. He is also a Professor of Business Administration and of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, where he directs the Center on Conflict Resolution and Negotiation. Dr. Masters has had extensive administrative, consulting, and business experience. He has published two books, “Unions at the Crossroads” and “The Complete Guide to Conflict Resolution in the Workplace,” with Albright, and more than 100 articles in such journals as Harvard Business Review, HR Magazine, Perspectives at Work, Public Personnel Management, and Public Administration Review. At the University of Pittsburgh, he has served as Associate Dean, Director of MBA Programs, and Interest Group Coordinator. Dr. Masters belongs to numerous professional associations, and serves on the leadership council of the Workplace Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution. He was the editor of the Workplace Section’s newsletter and is a columnist (“Point-Counterpoint”) for the Pittsburgh Business Times. His areas of expertise are negotiations, conflict resolution, labor-management relations, and human resource management. Dr. Masters worked with President Clinton’s National Partnership Council on a major project to improve labor-management relations in the federal government as part of the reinventing government program. He is a frequent keynote speaker and media commentator and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Business Week. Dr. Masters has designed and administered several executive education programs and teaches frequently in executive programs. He is also a former candidate for the United States Congress.
